A. A Continuous Time Attribute allows the panelist to evaluate the strength or intensity of a single particular sensation over a period of time.

Here is an example of this attribute type as it appears in Questionnaire Design mode:

The attribute appears as a Line Scale, but it remains on the screen for a specified period of time. Periodically SIMS 2000 records the placement of the pointer on the scale.

To Add a new Continuous Time Intensity Attribute, select type Time Intensity/Delay.

In this example the attribute will display for a total time of three minutes (180 seconds). Every 5 seconds SIMS 2000 will record the pointer value. So 36 timed observations will be recorded for each panelist when the attribute is presented with a given sample.
