Q: We designed an affective test with two samples, 2 replicates, SIMS 2000 accept the design but when we execute the test it only shows one replicate and does not let panelists evaluate the second replicate. Do you have any idea how to solve this, to evaluate the two samples.
A: Please see your "Test Startup Parameters" for this test. There are flexible options available for how tests with multiple replications are to be presented for panelists. Sounds to me like you want "Continuous Presentation over Reps". See the Blue notes button for more information.
The default is no "Continuous Presentation over Reps", where only the "First Replication" is going to be presented for all panelists. To get to next rep, your sensory technician ends the 1st replication, then restarts the test by "Present Next Replication". This is a default because it gives the Sensory Technician the commonly used popular process of One Rep at time, then move all panelists to next rep.
Go for the option: "Continuous Presentation over Reps".
