Station Numbers for your Panelists

Q: How do we assign unique station numbers for our new panelist stations?

Instructions/options for setting your Panelist PC Station Numbers. There are multiple easy ways to assign your unique panelist station numbers.

At each panelist station, do any ONE of the following:

- During the initial SIMS installation via SETUP.exe, 1st screen shown offers the ability to set the station #. The default is station # 1, change this number to be anything you need.

- After SIMS is installed, Technician log in, SIMS Main Menu | Utilities | Edit System User Options | Edit | Station Number. Number your panelist stations uniquely; #1, #2, #3, etc., etc.

- After SIMS is installed, SIMS Panelist screen, 'Waiting for a Test to Begin' | Click [Admin] button (might be hidden button in in upper right corner) | Click [Reconfigure this Station] button | Change Current Station Number | Save.

PANELIST STATION Numbers identify your Panelist Workstations for your SIMS System.
Used mostly for professional SIMS technicians usage of TEST POLLING Screens to monitor live testing activity in real-time.
Example of SIMS test polling screen can be seen here: http://www.sensorycomputersystems.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=135
Stations Numbers also allow for some panelist PC Resetting functions and system usage and login auditing purposes.
Stations Numbers are usually numbered 1 to # of Panelists PCs that you have for your SIMS system.
Default Panelist Station Number is 1, but should be changed to a unique number for the polling screen to work as expected.

Real Panelist Test data is not affected by these Station Numbers. No harm is done if all panelist PCs are still set as station 1.

While having unique station numbers in your SIMS system is optional with your SIMS system, we highly recommend that they be set.
