How to update every SIMS client PC in your department, listed here are 4 of the most common methods.

When updating the SIMS application on client PCs it's really all about just one file being updated/overwritten: SIMS2000.exe

1) Go to every PC, run SIMS as a Technician, under the Administrator menus see "Check for Updates".

2) Go to every PC, run SETUP1.exe or SETUP.exe from a recent SIMS DVDROM or from our online download installation webpage.

3) An easy IT/IS method for updating every PC in your department. In one effort, without ever leaving your seat, you can update every PC in your department. From your desk, after you’ve updated to a newest release build date of SIMS 2000, copy the file needed to Panelist PCs.
Example batch file update.bat
Code:
    COPY sims2000.exe "\\PanelistPC1\C$\program files (x86)\sims2000\sims2000.exe"
    COPY sims2000.exe "\\PanelistPC2\C$\program files (x86)\sims2000\sims2000.exe"
    COPY sims2000.exe "\\PanelistPC3\C$\program files (x86)\sims2000\sims2000.exe"
    COPY sims2000.exe "\\PanelistPC4\C$\program files (x86)\sims2000\sims2000.exe"
    COPY sims2000.exe "\\PanelistPC5\C$\program files (x86)\sims2000\sims2000.exe"
    COPY sims2000.exe "\\PanelistPC6\C$\program files (x86)\sims2000\sims2000.exe"

4) IT/IS managed rollouts, such as SMS.
